Gabriella Abby Tights

Hello Everyone,

I am very excited to be doing another review of yet another pair of Gabriella tights, this style is called Abby, and they are a black and blue color scheme which I think looks amazing!  Gabriella was kind enough to send me these tights to review and I really appreciate it!  They don't say the denier on them, but I would guess they would be around 50 denier or so.  The pattern is very unique as it is almost like geometric with bands going around the legs it is hard to say exactly what they are like as I have not seen anything quite like this on a pair of tights, but I do love the way they look.  The felt like a decent pair of tights that would hold up fairly well to numerous wearings and they were very comfortable to wear I must say.  I would say these tights would be great for adding a bit of pattern and color to any outfit and making the legs stand out!
I would recommend these tights to others as I think people would like the way the look and feel on the legs.

While Gabriella did send me these tights to review, the review is still my own.

Hope you enjoyed the post,

Comfort4Men Luxury Tights and Linkup with Top of the World Style

Hello Everyone,

I am pleased to announce another review, this time of a brand I have never tried before out of Germany called Comfort4Men They exclusively make tights for men which I think is Amazing!  Even though I wear all types of tights no matter if they are made for men, I think that making tights for men and something that will be practical for them is a big plus!  They have such a selection it is hard to go through it all.  They offer tights with support or without support at the beginning, and then you have choices of Opaque, Luxury, Luxury with Airy Gusset, Transparent and finally Warm.  The lowest denier they have is 17 and the highest appear to be their strong support tights at 140 denier.  The airy gusset appears to be one with mesh in that area to provide air to pass through with more ease, otherwise they are offered with a fly opening which I find to be amazing!  They also have an option of high waist and low waist tights.

The pair I was sent to review are C427M, Luxury tights 60 denier, velvety mutifibre, with low waist and fly opening in the shade Graphit.  This particular style is only offered in black or graphit, however other styles have an array of shades they are offered in so feel free to check it out on their site!
I was sent a size 6 in these and they are so comfortable I would sleep in them!  They are very smooth and provide very great coverage on the legs!  They did a pretty good job on being completely opaque throughout on the legs as some tights will say opaque and then when you put them on they are not completely opaque at the thighs or even when you sit down at the knees.  There was a little bit of stretch in the fabric at the knees when sitting down but still did a great job on being opaque and offering a nice color on the legs.  The color is Graphit which is a nice gray color and one that I don't have many tights in which is very nice!  The waistband is very nice, and of course the the fly is great!  They make their tights in Germany which I think is great as I see all to often people make their tights in places where workers may not be treated as fairly and that is not something I can support.  I noticed that on the website that they describe them as being a matte finish, and while this is true that they are not shiny like other tights, the light hit them and I noticed a slight sheen from that.  I think they would be a durable pair of tights due to the fact that they are 60 denier and they feel like they are good quality.  I really do love them as they are so comfortable and the fabric is very nice and soft.  I would definitely recommend these tights to others and I think it would be worth the time to check out the other styles as I would have to say they are probably just as nice.  I think being that their tights are made for men, it would be great for an extra layer during the winter months, especially when doing outdoor activities like skiing or snowmobiling.  I did not wear these underneath jeans, so I cannot say how well they work with jeans as sometimes tights have the habit of not gliding as well against the jeans depending on the make up of the tights, I would wager that the transparent tights would do really well just because they are sheer and probably silkier.  I should note that while it may be something that I do notice when wearing sheer tights versus more opaque and coarse tights underneath pants or jeans, it does not make them less comfortable to wear.  It is more of my preference and what I have found.

While Comfort4Men did send me these tights to review, the review is still my own. I want to thank Comfort4Men for kindly sending me these tights to review!

Dorian Gray Toscana Tights

Hello Everyone,

I am doing another review on another pair of Tights by the Spanish manufacturer Dorian Gray as they were kind enough to send me this pair to review.  This style appears to be called Toscana and the color is Gris.  There is no mention on the packaging about the denier but I would guess they are around 50 denier or so.  They don't seem as opaque as the previous pair I reviewed, but I also think that has something to do with the way in which these tights are knitted since they are a different pattern and not a solid opaque tight.  They felt a little bit coarser in texture and were not a silky smooth pair like some of the sheer ones might be, but none the less the pattern looks great on the legs.  One thing I would note is that they are not as thick as I was expecting so in order to get complete coverage of the legs it might be a good idea to layer a plain pair of opaque tights underneath.

While Dorian Gray did send me these tights to review, the review is still my own.

Dorian Gray

Hello Everyone,

Today I am pleased to announce I am doing a review on a brand I have not tried before, Dorian Gray They are based out of Spain and I have wanted to try their products for quite some time.  They were kind enough to send me this pair to review and it appears their products are made in Spain, which is definitely a good thing.
This pair is opaque a good 50-60 denier and are completely opaque and are the color brown.  There is however one big thing that sets these apart from plain brown opaque tights in the fact that they have glittery lurex woven in on the front of the legs of the tights so they have that sparkle and shine when the light hits the lurex!  They do feel very nice to wear and are great for the cooler weather.  I think this pair definitely would hold up well over many wearings and would be great to just add a little bit of shine to an outfit without being too loud!

While Dorian Gray sent me these tights to review, the review is still my own.

Gabriella Nicky Tights

Hello Everyone,

Today I am posting my review of the Gabriella Nicky Tights in shade Purple that Gabriella was kind enough to send me to review!

They have a diamond pattern with purple and black like argyle.  I can tell you that they seem to be opaque after wearing them, as they don't have the denier on the packaging, I would say they are about a 50 denier or so if I had to take a guess.  They are very comfortable and felt very nice to wear.  I was not too worried about them getting a run or a snag as they appear to be thicker and more durable.  I really love the bright color and the pattern as they really make the legs stand out.  I decided not to wear heels as I did not quite feel like it and just wore my Danner boots with them which I love wearing in this wet fall weather!
I think over all these are a very nice pair of tights as they are european made and they actually look better on the legs than I expected!  I think bright colors and patterns are great for the cooler weather in order to make the outfits more fun and interesting.

While Gabriella, did send me these tights to review, the review is still my own.

Gabriella Irma Tights

Hello Everyone,

Today I am pleased to do another review on another pair of tights Polish manufacturer Gabriella was kind enough to send me.  This style is called Irma and they appear to be semi-opaque, not quite sure on the denier as it is not stated on the packaging.  Just by the way they look, I would guess they are around 40 denier or so and that would be what I consider to be semi-opaque as this pair is not blackout opaque in which no skin can be seen underneath, but not as sheer as lower denier tights and hosiery.  That being said they have a very interesting and beautiful design which looks like faux stockings almost and they have portions in the design which allow skin or anything underneath to be seen which I think is a cool effect especially if you are like me and have so many unique tight and bright colors.  The first thing that I thought of was to wear a shiny bright purple pair of opaque tights underneath to give a pop of color as I like experimenting with my fashion.  It created an interesting effect which can be seen in the photos.  The design on the tights looks great and I think this pair would go great with shorts, a nice skirt even.  I was careful with them as they are not completely opaque and I did not want to get a run or snag in them.  Even though I layered them over another pair, I did not have any problems with them and they were comfortable to wear.  The design is very beautiful and unique, and I think if someone is looking for a pair of patterned tights to try that are more fun and unique, these would be a good option as they can be worn as is, or even layered like I did.
Let me know what you think of the layered look.

While Gabriella did send me the tights to review, the review is still my own.

Papilio Stores

Hello Everyone,

I am happy to be able to share a little bit of the store behind Papilio  since they were so kind enough to send me two pairs of tights to review which you might have already seen on the blog!  I love both of them and am really thankful they sent me the pairs to review!

Here is what Kate of Papilio sent me:
"Papilio began because beautiful, high-quality hosiery at affordable prices is not widely available in US. We wanted to carry established European brands that are known for quality and beautiful designs, but are unique for this market and cannot be found in every department store. We have actually met all of our Italian manufacturers to ensure that the quality is up to the high standards we want to provide to our customers. We’ve toured the factories on several different occasions to understand the manufacturing process from idea to packaging. It’s truly incredible how much goes into a simple pair of tights!

We carry several different lines that provide a variety of price points for our customers and hundreds of styles so every customer who’s shopping with us can find what she or he is looking for. We currently have an online shop at www.papiliostores.com and if any of your friends or readers have questions or are looking for a style not on our website, we’re always here to help at tights@papiliostores.com.

Also, we would like to provide a coupon for all of your friends, followers, and readers of your blog in amount of $5 off any purchase of $50 or more on our website. This discount is valid on all merchandise that we have available, including sale items. The coupon should be entered at Checkout and is valid until December 31, 2016. The code is wa2016."

Here are the tights I reviewed and how I styled them:

Gabriella Maddy Tights

Hello Everyone,

Today I have another review of a pair of tights that Polish manufacturer Gabriella was kind enough to send me to review for my blog!  I love this pair as they are very interesting and unique!  The color is called Granat and they are a blueish color with black mixed into the pattern!  I looked on the packaging to see what denier they are and could not find anything so I am not quite sure.  They don't feel very sheer and feel more like opaque to me as it is hard to see any of the legs through the tights.  The design is very cool and fun!  I just love them and think they would be great for others to try. They feel like they would be good for cooler days and offering something more exciting and unique.  They are comfortable to wear and were not the smoothest and softest pair of tights I have ever worn, but with patterns, I have learned that this is usually not the case as they require  more work than a plain pair of tights to make and I don't particularly mind if they are not the smoothest pair out there, just so long as they are comfortable and look good on the legs and this pair certainly does!

While Gabriella did send me these tights to review, the review is still my own.

Hope you had a great weekend,

Jonathan
